Monthly PR Favorites: September 2022

They say all good things must come to an end; goodbye summer! Now that its officially fall, the Holiday Gift Guide season is in full swing over here. Read through the GSPR Teams’ favorites from this month.

Sara’s Favorites:

Vogue Beauty Secrets

Watching the beauty and skincare routines of celebrities is so intriguing to me. It’s an easy watch before I go to sleep, and I always learn a lot of tangible tips. The unfortunate part is you will want to buy all the products these celebs are using and raving about.

Coffee Dose Café in Newport Beach

This café is freshly opened in Newport Beach, CA! Not only is the trendy, pink and edgy vibe of the café and branding super unique and fun – the food and beverages are delicious. A scroll through their Instagram, and you’ll get it too! Locals and Newport visitors must try.

Free People Quilted Dolman Knit Jacket

I’ve had my eye on this jacket for a couple of seasons now – each year new colors come out too! Finally purchased in preparation for Fall. It’s cozy, warm and super versatile. This is an oversized fit, so size down if you don’t want it overly baggy.

Caliray; Come Hell or High Water Mascara

This newer brand was developed by one of the original co-founders of Urban Decay – along with a Newport Beach local (Where GSPR is based too!). It’s a laidback line of clean beauty products. My hairdresser recommended this mascara (after I complimented her lashes!) and now I’m equally obsessed after using for several weeks now.

Lis’ Favorites:

The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo

I could not put this book down. It was a fictional account of an old Hollywood star that felt real and kept me on my toes. Definitely a good read for cozy fall nights!

Pukka Turmeric Glow Tea

Full of antioxidant, and anti-inflammatory goodness, this tea has become my go-to in the afternoon, instead of coffee or some other sweet drink.

Charlie Boot from Toms

Perfect for the fall with skirts, dresses, and pants!

R+Co Belair Smoothing Shampoo & Conditioner

Weather transitions always do a number on my hair. This set saves the day and leaves my hair clean yet silky.

Daniella’s Favorites:

I ain’t worried by One Republic

Ever since I heard it on Top Gun: Maverick I instantly downloaded it and haven’t stopped listening since.

Califia Farms Pumpkin Pie Creamer

If you want to save money on Starbucks Pumpkin Cold Brew’s (like me) then try this! Tastes just like pumpkin pie.

Nike Airmax 270

My go-to sneaker for running errands or working out. If I could I would buy every colorway they come in!

Sephora Scalp Massager

Supports circulation for healthy scalp and hair. Use this to lather your scalp instead of your hands..life changing.

Kristina’s Favorites:

Hulu | Series – The Patient

Steve Carrell is so good in this psychological series. I am hooked; only problem is they only drop one a week but if you start it now, you will get a good dose.

Moët & Chandon Ice Impérial Demi-Sec Champagne | Our Cellar

I was introduced to this champagne recently and it is the perfect “by the pool” drink; just add berries and you will be in heaven. Warning, they go down way too easy and for the price, it could get expensive. I guess I am glad I started drinking them at the end of the summer!

RORY Long Dress in Famous Blue, Lived-in Linen | Frank & Eileen (frankandeileen.com)

Dress I lived in all summer; so light-weight, looks good on zoom calls and is amazingly comfortable.

Berberine - The Wellness Living Store (taostar.com)

I started learning about my blood glucose levels this year and have started taking this supplement to help regulate blood sugar.  It is natural and works very well.

Introducing POGO Automatic, a One-Step Blood Glucose Monitor – POGO Store (presspogo.com)

This is the easiest and most convenient way I have found to test your blood sugar. I definitely notice a difference when I take the Berberine before meals (and drink the champagne).

Hannah’s Favorites:

The Summer I Turned Pretty

The show that has sent me down a spiral of any RomCom/coming of age show, movie or book to get the same feeling of giddiness and butterflies. This adaption of a Jenny Han book I read when I was 12 makes me feel so nostalgic and I can’t get enough. I may or may not have re-watched it the week after finishing it…

Starbucks Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew

IT’S BACK! This cold brew is my guilty pleasure and is the perfect opening act for all things fall.

Dr. Martens 1461 Platform Shoes

These have been in constant rotation for me this month. They can be dressed up or down and are so comfy (after you brave the period of breaking them in!)

Milk Makeup Lip + Cheek

This has taken over my cult-favorite Glossier Cloud Paint as my go-to cream blush. It stays on all day and gives the perfect rosy glow.
