Monthly PR Favorites: May 2023

Hope everyone had a great Memorial Day Weekend! Read through the GSPR Teams’ favorites from May.

Sara’s Favorites:

Butcher Box Subscription

I was definitely targeted with Butcher Box ads on Instagram for a while before finally being convinced to try the subscription. After my first delivery I was sold. You basically set-up a custom subscription to receive frozen meat and seafood deliveries every few weeks. I chose to receive a box of frozen chicken and beef every 6-weeks. After doing some quick math, I discovered I’m saving money with this, over buying at the grocery store. I also love that all the meat is 100% grass-fed beef, free-range organic chicken and wild-caught seafood.

Abercrombie & Fitch  Baggy Utility Pant

I was reluctant to jump on the cargo pant train for a while, but after seeing more and more women wearing the trend, I finally gave in! Hear me out, these pants are baggy (goodbye snug fitting jeans), super comfortable and lightweight, and easy to style (dress up with a cute blouse or keep it casual with a tee). Loving a lot of Abercrombie pants right now too (trousers and linen pants)  - I’m 5’8” and they all come in “Long or Extra Long” options which I love.

Yin Yoga

I use Class Pass to find Yin Yoga classes offered in my area, and try to take one each week in the evening. Yin yoga is a slow-paced stretch style yoga class – usually paired with meditation and/or with ‘candle light’ to give a soothing ambiance. This helps me reset my body and take at least an hour a week to be quiet and still and to look inward. You can also find Yin Yoga classes online if you prefer to do them at home.

Daniella’s Favorites:

Home in a Heartbeat

This is such a heartfelt, feel good show! Galey Alix is a Wall Street executive by day, but on the weekends, she's a DIY designer who creates dream home renovations. Spending weeks preparing for each project, Galey and her team surprise families with stunning transformations in just three days.

Beis Expandable Backpack

I purchased this backpack because I was in need of something to use as my personal item for flights. I love when everything has its place and the more compartments the better! This bag is so great, not only does it expand like a carryon would but it has so many pockets including a water bottle holder inside the bag.

BLK/OPL Honey Dew Me Lip Oil

I know lip oils are all the rage right now. After watching someone on YouTube talk about the BLK/OPL one I decided to give it a try. Every Ulta I went to they only had one left in stock and for good reasons! This lip oil is the perfect consistency and I love pairing it with a lip liner. Did I mention it’s only $8?!

Noosa Salted Caramel Yogurt

My husband convinced me to try out Noosa a few weeks ago and let me just say I am hooked! This is the most smooth, delicious yogurt I have tried. It’s like having a dessert in the middle of the day. Noosa has tons of flavors that I have yet to try but the salted caramel is my go-to.

Kristina’s Favorites:

 BEEF | Netflix

This show is an interesting psychological drama. I liked it the more and more I watched it and it was definitely equal parts entertaining and disturbing.

RECOVERYbits Chlorella Tablets | Natural Chlorella Algae

A friend turned me on to these and I got used to eating a handful every day. They don’t taste great so best to swallow whole or put in a smoothie. I feel noticeably more alert after I take them.

LightStim for Wrinkles

My esthetician recommended this to me and I bought it for a friend. I am hoping to buy one for myself. Red light therapy is proven to reduce inflammation and wrinkles and this one is up for the job.

Ceramic Non Stick Pan | Best Multi Purpose Always Pan–Our Place

I have seen these pans on social media and been tempted to buy one but it wasn’t until last week that I bit the bullet and I am so glad I did!! Eggs slide off without sticking; I cooked a steak in it last night and it wiped away in a second. It lives up to the hype.

Lis’ Favorites:

The Body Keeps Score, By Bessel Van Der Kolk, MD

For anyone who has suffered from depression, experienced trauma, or wants to understand the effects of trauma and PTSD better, this is an amazing read.

Lone River Ranch Water

Perfect for the daytime adventure. And only 80 calories per can!

Madewell Tank Thong Bodysuit

My new fav! Perfect under high-waisted jeans, shorts, or skirts.

Youth to the People, Adaptogen Deep Facial Cream

I use it every morning and have noticed a difference in fine lines and discoloration on my face. I have really sensitive skin, and it doesn't irritate it.

Hannah’s Favorites:

The Watcher | Netflix

I have always been a fan of suspense and crime and this show was the quickest binge watch for me! Ryan Murphy (the creator)  is the best at creating  mysterious and creepy shows—I didn’t want it to end. Fun fact: I grew up visiting my family in the town the shows based in *spooky*

RX Bars

These bars have consistently been a go to snack for years. I love their simple ingredient list and a decent amount of protein. Stand out flavor for me is Chocolate Sea Salt

Adidas Sambas OG (black)

The “it” shoe right now and I’m into it! So comfortable and the low profile looks good with any outfit. I stand by the statement: things are basic for a reason.

Kristen Ess Hair Moisture Rich Curl Line

In the never ending saga of searching for the perfect hair products, this affordable line has been my go-to. As someone with half wavy-half straight hair, this keeps my frizz down and is free of sulfates and silicones.
